Unacceptable Abuse of NHS Staff
Kent & Medway ICB are saddened by the rising reports both from primary care and other local services about the rising levels of abuse teams are getting. It is not acceptable and we are exploring what can be done to address it.
A public message from the ICB has been published as the first part of planning a wider campaign to challenge unacceptable behaviour towards NHS teams. You can see this first message by clicking on the following link:

GP Appointment Data – October 2023
More than 1million appointments were offered by general practices in Kent and Medway in October.
The figures, released by NHS England, show 66 per cent of these appointments were face-to-face or home visits. The data also shows more than 57,000 people did not attend their appointments.
So far this year, more than 9million appointments have been offered by Kent and Medway practices. During the same period in 2022, 8.4million appointments were offered to patients and 7.6million to the same point in 2021.
Most people who are unable to attend their appointment cancel them to allow other people in need to use them. We would urge anyone who can no longer attend any appointment (be it with their GP practice, a vaccination appointment, or a hospital appointment) to please let their practice know.
Patients can book, cancel and order repeat prescriptions online.
Please click on the link below. To use this service you have to have registered first in person at reception. To register please bring with you two forms of ID. One must be photographic and the other must be proof of your address. The receptionists can provide more information if required.
